The “Russian technique” gives more lip projection. In addition, lip borders can be crisped with very minute threads along the vermilion border. For patients that want a more defined lip line, this technique works perfectly. Many times, multiple techniques for lip filler are used to give our patients the best overall outcome.
In addition, filler can be injected with traditional syringes or very small micro-syringes. Micro-syringes allow the lip filler to be injected in very small, precise amounts. The volume of filler can be adjusted as well when you have lip filler. Some patients prefer to have less than a full syringe and that can be done as well. Lip filler types have also improved dramatically. The lip fillers today have less swelling and are more flexible than fillers of the past.
