There’s a new treatment option similar to Botox to relax muscles and improve wrinkles and lines called Jeuveau. Jeuveau did a study to evaluate the amount of active moles in Jeuveau, Botox, Dysport and Xeomin and the results are very interesting. Keep in mind, neither Botox or Dysport ever supplied this information before so this is new data for us as providers. Before this data, we relied on results and feedback from treatments with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. Our provider, Loraine Savarese, RN, does injections with Botox, Dysport, fillers and Sculptra all day, every day, and she has treated tens of thousands of people. She is thrilled to have the clinical data to support what she has observed since she started injecting in 2003.
As you can see from the data, the active molecules vary tremendously. Dysport has 0.27 ng, Botox 0.18 ng, Xeomin 0.08 ng and the new choice, Jeuveau, has 0.18 ng (making it equal to Botox amount). We have a winner here with Dysport. What does this mean to you? Dysport has a quicker onset and longer duration. Dysport is more potent.
Now we know there is a camp of Botox lovers and we like Botox too and do a tremendous amount of Botox treatments. We are not bashing Botox but we are giving Dysport a gold, sparkly star and we thank this competitor, Jeuveau, for doing an expensive study to show this data. Knowledge is power. Providers with knowledge are a super power. You deserve to have this data and we are happy to share it with you.
Remember, there is not a one size fits all for Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm.
