Did you know there are four different types of neuromodulators like Botox that have been approved in the US? There are actually four FDA approved neuromodulators in the US – Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeaveau. How would you know which one is right for you? Does it make a difference which one you use?
There are many reasons that you should choose one type of neuromodulator over the other. Also, most people who have had any of these alternatives to Botox call it Botox anyway. Your friends might tell you that they got Botox when they actually got Dysport.
In our vast experience at Charmed Medispa, we use two of these treatments all day – Botox and Dysport. We use Dysport far more than Botox. Why? Because Dysport has a significantly more powerful particle potency at 0.27 versus the Botox particle potency at 0.18. What does this mean to you? Dysport results comes on sooner than Botox and tends to last longer. In fact, most of our patients who have had both Botox and Dysport would choose Dysport hands down. The staff at Charmed Medispa also prefers Dysport over any other neuromodulator.
Xeomin and Jeaveau are two other alternatives for Botox and Dysport. Xeomin has the least particle potency out of the bunch.
Neuromodulators like Botox are great resources to treat many concerns like wrinkles between the brows, forehead, crow’s feet, bunny lines, chin area and even the neck and chest. Botox also helps to slim the face when injected into the masseters. Botox in the armpit significantly diminishes sweating.
