For instance, chemical peels are great but not for all patients including patients with rosecea and sensitive skin. Before doing chemical peels, we often will prep our patients skin to make it healthier and stable with the ZO Skin Health products. The combination of ZO Skin Health products and chemical peels like the 123 Step Peel by ZO can be a very good options for melasma, acne, and darker skin patients. Darker skin patients cannot have some technologies to their skin like IPL or they will burn.
In contrast, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a great way to remove excess pigmentation and redness for patients who have lighter skin. In fact, IPL is a fast and fun way to improve overall skin tone and give you even skin without peeling. IPL is the only technology at Charmed Medispa to improve redness, broken capillaries and rosecea. IPL, however, does not technically make the skin healthier. It does make it brighter but it did not change the skin cells therefore ZO Skin Products are often incorporated into patients routine to give them the cellular health that is so necessary.
Facials are amazing and our patients love how their skin glows after Hydrafacials. Hydrafacials are an excellent way to remove impurities and clogged pores. Even wrinkles can look temporarily improved after a facial from the plumping. Excessive hair can be removed on the face with dermaplaning. Facials are a great way to relax and restore a glow without downtime but they don’t replace skin care, IPL or chemical peels.
