Did you know that you can dissolve most fillers? All of the types of fillers used at Charmed Medispa are dissolvable. We use fillers made of hyaluronic acid such as Restylane, Juvederm and Versa. All of these fillers have special components within them and some are more dissolvable than others. Some fillers cannot be dissolved and that is why it is important to know what type of filler you are getting.
You should feel a reassurance when having dermal fillers that they can dissolve. People who have never tried filler before often feel more reassured knowing that a filler can be taken away. The biggest risk with filler is not wanting it removed but wanting more.
Filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase which is a soluble protein enzyme. This enzyme breaks up the bonds that keep hyaluronic acid together and the body will reabsorb those molecules naturally. Hyaluronidase acts almost immediately and for the next 48 hours. The treatment may need to be repeated. Hyaluronidase can be used if a patient felt that they did not like the injection results, product migration, lumps and for urgent situations if the filler got into a blood vessels and created a block to proper blood flow. Hyaluronidase essentially can be used to adjust aesthetic outcomes and is the treatment for emergency cases. Overall, it can improve the outcome of cases that have concerns.
