Do you want to improve all over wrinkles, textured lesions and crepey skin on the face? Do you want to take your skin health to the next level? Laser resurfacing is an excellent option to get skin healthier and more vibrant. We call this time of year “laser season” and it’s a great time to revive and refresh your appearance.
Laser resurfacing has been around a long time. “Our staff have used lasers to resurface for over 17 years and we are well experienced in this type of technology and delivering exceptional results,” states Shae Ryan, a nationally certified laser operator at Charmed. There are many different types of lasers and it is important to know what type of laser you are getting and what to expect from your treatment. Charmed Medispa uses an Erbium laser that can be performed fractional (meaning only part of the skin like a grid is treated) or full laser to burn off larger sun spots. An Erbium laser treatment can be performed after application of numbing cream and does not require anesthesia. Other facilities may have a CO2 laser which is a deeper and more aggressive laser and often requires anesthesia. There are also lasers that deal more with redness and rosecea and is they are not considered laser resurfacing devices.
All laser resurfacing treatments have some downtime and that is important to know. You can elect to have a lighter treatment with less downtime but with less results or a more appropriate laser treatment with 5-7 days of not wearing makeup with more exceptional results. Your face will be red and some crusting but it will heal quickly. You will need to wear sunblock and be careful about sun exposure after laser resurfacing.
You can opt to add Exosome stem cell therapy after laser resurfacing. Exosomes will heal your skin faster and deliver results that can be 100 times more powerful than PRP. Exosomes provide luminosity and overall skin glow as well as regenerative therapy to your skin. Exosomes are enriched with stem cells and growth factors and are the wave of the future for ultimate skin health.
Lasers are different than IPL treatments. IPL addresses brown spots and redness on the face without any disruption to the skin surface. A popular combination is having IPL with laser resurfacing the same day. When a patient really wants a transformation, that is often what is suggested.
