You can’t get a degree in doing Botox or dermal fillers. You don’t learn it in college, clinical rotations or med school (at least not more than a few hours). You learn Botox and dermal filler from doing it. You master Botox and dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm from doing thousands of treatments. You become an expert when you teach Dysport and dermal fillers to others like doctors, nurses and physician assistants and thrive on sharing your knowledge. You become a great provider by not being threatened by other great providers. You know the clients concerns like your own and you understand what they want and how to calm their fears. In our experience, nurses and medical aestheticians become specialist in the medical spa field because they can give it their full attention and this field is complex and requires this. The non-surgical world is changing every day and what was best last year is replaced by something better this year. Our medical spa nurse, Loraine Olson, spent over a decade in the surgical field taking care of wounds, accidents, breast and abdominal surgeries, facelift and eyelid lifts. Loraine then chose to focus solely on the non-surgical field and has spent the last 12 years doing this. Loraine is also a Peer-to-Peer trainer and works for Galderma Pharmaceuticals in their division to educate other health care professionals. Being an expert and qualified is not about your book education although we support that tremendously. It’s about your hands-on experience and how often you perform the procedure. After over a decade of being exclusive medical spa providers , we know that Shae Ryan and Loraine Olson, are highly qualified experts in the medical spa field. We applaud health care providers that support one another in this ever changing industry!
