What to Expect
Charmed Medispa offers all types of light to medium chemical peels that are directed at providing results! Our licensed, highly-trained provider who specializes in prescriptive skin care management will carefully examine your skin to determine the best type of chemical peel for your unique needs. Some peels create more peeling than others and actually feel different being done. We will walk you through the process before the peel is done and you can relax knowing that our core belief is educate first, treat second.
Believe it or not, most peels do not have burning pain like the old days. The peels we have are advanced and customized and pH balanced, which equal more comfort, little to no downtime, and quickly start showing smoother and more fabulous skin!
Most peels look great the day of treatment and the day after the peel. Peeling usually begins day 3-7. Depending on the peel, you may be given creams to soothe and calm the area. You are encouraged not to pick or peel after a chemical peel so that the healing process occurs naturally. After the peeling is complete, your skin will be radiant and glowing and red carpet ready.
Some chemical peels are performed in a series and will have more impact if repeated in 3-6 weeks. Our nurse specialist, Loraine Savarese, and our master aesthetician, Shae Ryan, will review these options and make sure that your specific goals are met. Shae is also proud to manage these peels with you and will assist you through the peeling process. You have a skin care coach right at your disposal at all times.
Risks
A chemical peel can cause various side effects, including redness, peeling and breakouts. An important part of deciding on a chemical peel is to make sure that the right peel is done on the right person at the right time. Some guests will benefit from a skin care conditioning system prior to a chemical peel to enhance the peel as well as ensure safe and effective results. Our guests who have melasma often must prep their skin before any chemical peel is applied.
Our highly experienced medical providers will carefully review the procedure and potential risks with you prior to your treatment so that you can feel confident in your skin care treatments.
