We hear about Botox parties and we can promise you that we will not ever have one at Charmed Medispa. Why? First of all, because it minimizes how important it is to get medical histories and listen to individual concerns and goals for treatment. It becomes confusing and often people are getting Botox that would have been better served (given the options) with another treatment. Botox parties take away from an approach that clients deserve to have which is a one-on-one discussion with their provider in an atmosphere without alcohol and without peer pressure. Clients might love a “deal” and are swayed to join a Botox party but they should know that the deal only happened because there was enough people to compensate for the provider’s time (think supply and demand) so technically, they made just as much “per hour”. In addition to this, most clients do not know how much Botox they even received at these parties. They know that they “got some in the forehead and between the brows and that it cost $150” but they have no idea what the Botox dosage was. Most providers that do Botox parties or Groupons are hoping that you sign up for something else or purchase a product or have surgery eventually or they just give you a minimal amount of dosage (or all of the above). There’s some essential rules we believe in at Charmed Medispa and one of them is you should not try to decide on treatments for your face or body based on “cheap deals”. Honestly, we do not understand why providers dumb down this complex practice of aesthetics. Botox and Dysport are wonderful treatments and in the hands of the right provider, you can enjoy your best results and safety. Our nurse, Loraine Olson, is a trainer for injectables and teaches other providers including doctors and nurses the delicate art of aesthetic medicine and well known in Delaware for her outstanding and superior results as well as her integrity for doing what is best, safest and most satisfying.
