Dermal fillers have been used since 2003 and there are varieties of fillers. Our Delaware med spa uses safe and effective filler that can be dissolved if needed. Using a filler that can be dissolved is important. That is why we do not use more permanent fillers.
You can expect an immediate result with dermal filler under the eye but also you may have some transitional time of swelling and bruising. Often at Charmed Medispa, we use cannulas which are long, blunt tip needles to diminish the chance of bruising. Patients start with half a syringe of filler under each eye and then they let that filler volume settle for a few weeks and come back for an additional half a syringe per side. Some patients only need one syringe total but many need two sessions. An average result of under eye correction can be 1.5 years or longer.
Other therapies under the eyes include medical grade skin care with ZO Skin Health to brighten and restore healthy collagen in addition to microneedling, chemical peels and laser resurfacing treatments. It’s important to treat the condition from within as well as topically.
