We see a client with concerns years ago and then they reemerge again. Same concerns but only worse. Same feelings about themselves but only worse. Once a year they come in just to talk, talk and talk and hear about what they can do, but never actually do anything. - “I don’t want to look fake”. Ummmmm……….like we’ve heard this a bazillion times. It takes like a pound of filler to look filled. It takes a liter of Botox to look frozen. You could have 20 lasers and still have lines. This is an old wise tale and we need to spread the word that you will not look fake with some filler and Botox. Zero chance. None. Nada. The people that might look “overdone” actually love looking like that anyway! It’s their desired result. It takes 5 syringes of filler to fill a teaspoon. So relax and trust. Besides, filler is dissolvable almost instantly.
- “I don’t want to be frozen”. There are so many muscles in the face that are not treated with Botox that you will have plenty of motion. There is no way Botox can make you not move at all or you would walk around with closed eyes and be unable to smile. People love Botox and Dysport and are surprised at how easy it is and how no one can tell but they feel better.
- “I don’t want any downtime”. Ok. That’s valid. BUT, you have acne scarring and we have to remodel your skin. You can’t get rid of deeper skin scars, wrinkles and lines without some noticeable redness, peeling and so forth. IF you don’t have “downtime” (which we think is a stretch word for redness and peeling), you won’t get the results you desire. You will be stuck with your concerns. Forever. Commit to the time and your results will be much more compelling.
- “I’m afraid my husband will find out.” Haha. We hear this one A LOT!!! Guess what, they have NO CLUE! One client told us her husband just said, “you look more pleasant” after her treatment. Husbands and boyfriends all love when their women look fabulous! They just may not understand what it takes behind the scenes to look our best. Go for it!
- “What will my friends say when they find out? I don’t want to be judged.” Don’t worry. They most likely are having refreshment done too. You would be surprised! This can be a very private decision but yours to make. Don’t feel guilty. We maintain and invest in our cars more than we do our own face!
- “It’s so expensive.” The right treatment done the right way is very affordable especially if you don’t put it off until you need a lot! Start now. Time if ticking and there is no better time!
