Microneedling can be done with or without energy. The energy is radiofrequency which is also used in other technologies like Exilis Ultra and Thermage. Which microneedling option would be right for you? Here are the differences.
- Microneedling with the SkinPen is an excellent option. We like to refer to this treatment as mother nature’s way of making you younger. Microneedling with the SkinPen causes controlled micro-injuries to the skin (sounds scary but it’s not) which in turn heals with remodeling of the skin, renewed collagen and improvement in wrinkles, lines, acne scarring and overall skin tone. The SkinPen microneedling treatment is ranked very high in satisfaction. This type of microneedling has no downtime although you can expect to leave Charmed Medispa with your skin pink to red and have some micro-flaking for a few days. You can put on makeup the next day. During this type of microneedling, our provider can infuse different products into the skin to provide additional results and improvement in sun damage. Numbing cream is applied before treatment and the microneedling does not hurt and you will find that is an easy choice to add to your schedule. Microneedling is done in a series of 4-6 depending on your skin conditions and desired outcome. The SkinPen microneedling device is a medical grade treatment and will go to a depth that surpasses other microneedling treatments. This provides a superior microneedling result. Cost for microneedling is $295 on up depending on the treatment area.
- Microneedling with energy called Infini is a very different option than traditional microneedling with the SkinPen. This type of skin rejuvenation treatment uses microneedles to infuse radiofrequency energy in the skin. This type of energy is well known to tighten and firm the skin more significantly than traditional microneedling can. Infini can be a better option for deeper lines, sagging and acne scarring. The needles penetrate the skin deeper as well. Just like the SkinPen, you will have pink to red skin and you can put makeup the next day. You will also be numbed during treatment however, you can feel the treatment more intensely than the SkinPen. Our med spa uses a cooling device during treatment. Infini requires 3-4 treatments depending on your desired outcome and skin condition. Cost is $495 on up depending on the treatment area.
